Focusing on Gratitude

gratefulI’ve been on a sort of personal development journey the last couple of months. I’ve had blissful highs and stressed out lows. It’s been eye opening for sure. I’m learning how to blast through fear and go for the goals I really want to accomplish in life. Also in these teachings, I’m learning the importance of serving others and gratitude.

You’ve probably heard about the power of gratitude. It’s in the zeitgeist a lot lately. Because it works. I’ve become much more calm, centered and confident when I focus on being grateful.

Do you make gratitude a daily practice? Oh, I know you’re busy. But who doesn’t have 30 seconds to stop and focus on something outside of themselves? Take a second right after you brush your teeth in the morning. Or during the evening rush hour while you’re shuffling to the subway exit.  It doesn’t have to be something all encompassing. It can be as simple as ‘Soon, I’ll be down those stairs and FREE!’ or ‘My husband carried the heavy box of cat litter home which meant I didn’t have to.’ That’s the beauty of gratitude. The universe doesn’t care if it’s big or small. Its more about the mindset shift from lack to love.

I’d love to hear from you – share what you’re grateful for in the comments below.
